The Heartland Huskies returned to the court last night in Milford to compete in the semifinals of the Southern Nebraska Conference Volleyball Tournament. They were matched up against the #4 seeded Sandy Creek Cougars.
The first set stayed close the entire set and went back and forth throughout. The Huskies found themselves leading late in the set 21-18. However, the Cougars responded with back to back ACE serves and would eventually go on to win the first set 24-26.

The Huskies kept the second set within reach as they were tied 10-10. But Sandy Creek continued to push and jumped out to a 14-21 lead and would go on to win the second set 16-25. Â Sandy Creek defeated Heartland 0-2, 24-26 /16-25. The Cougars will advance to the finals to take on Fillmore Central. Â The Huskies will play for 3rd place on Friday at 6:00 p.m. against the Thayer Central Titans.
