After being defeated by Thayer Central three times this season, the Huskies drew one final shot at the Titans for third place of the Southern Nebraska Conference Tournament.  The game was nothing short of intense for both sides of the gym as the game continued to go back and forth through all five sets.  In the end, the Huskies got their victory against the Titans when they wanted it the most as they took third in the SNC conference and the victory in five: 25-21, 23-25, 25-15, 20-25 and finally 15-7.

The Huskies seemed to keep their cool and stick together as the Titans went through a slew of rotation checks, out of rotation calls and several time outs to try and regroup.

The Huskies were led in kills by Juniors, Sara Brune with 15 and Mikaelyn Dick with 13.  Both setters, juniors Ashley Bittinger and Maelyn Huebert finished the game with 19 assists a piece.  Junior, Ashton Kroeker made her living at the net with 5 blocks and senior, Brielle van den Berg kept the defense alive with 26 digs.

It was a fun night to watch the Huskies as they will take this momentum into sub-districts starting tomorrow at Central City.  The Huskies (18-10) will play Palmer (13-16) in the first round at 6:30pm. You can follow the game via our LIVE blog on the Huskie Sports Network.
