The Southern Nebraska Conference held their Sportsmanship Summit on October 5th in McCool Junction in an effort to educate student representatives on sportsmanship and ways to engage fans at games. Ten Heartland students were chosen by Principal Tim Carr and Athletic Director Jon Baehr. Students that attended were Brielle van den Berg, Miranda Janzen, Michael Brune, Rick Siebert, Leah Friesen, Kasey Siebert, Kaitlyn Quiring, Daniel Quiring, Cole Nickels, and Mikaelyn Dick.
