The Huskie Football team finalized their season on Friday, October 21st with a loss to the High Plains Storm.  It was another tough game for the Huskies as they fell behind early and could not recover.  The Huskies took a 22-66 loss.

Although the Huskies had a few glimmers of light throughout the game, the Storm were just too much to handle and their quickness took them to the victory.  However, the Huskies did not go without throwing in a little pizazz of their own as Coach Wetjen made the call and put Senior, Rick Siebert behind the Center to take a few snaps as quarterback.  This brought some smiles to the teams’ faces to finish out the last game.

We would like to tell the Huskie football team that their hard work and hours put into the season are recognized.  It was a tough year, but the community is proud of you.  Extra special recognition goes out to the senior boys for all their efforts throughout their football careers at Heartland: great job Micheal Brune, Rick Siebert, Casey Goertzen and Brenan Erb.
