The Huskies came out with a fighting effort on Homecoming night against Newman-Grove, but it just was not enough to earn the win as they lost to the Bluejays 20-62.

The Huskies had a few sparks offensively with a great sideline catch by Jordan Heinrichs from passer, Micheal Brune in the beginning of the third quarter.  Colton Siebert also had a nice catch and Brune had a big run off a kickoff as well.

These highlights were not enough to close the gap on their Homecoming game, however.  The Huskies will play their final regular season game Friday, October 21 at High Plains High School.

The game ended with the coronation of King and Queen.  Congratulations to Michael Brune, son of Paul and Diane Brune and Miranda Janzen, daughter of Alan and Kim Janzen for being Heartland’s 2011 Homecoming King and Queen.
