Congratulations to the Huskie Girls Golf team on their 2nd win of the season yesterday at the Heartland Lutheran Triangular in Grand Island, Nebraska. Below are the results and comments from coach Jon Baehr.

Results for Heartland Girls Golf:

1st – Heartland
2nd – Exeter-Millian
3rd – Heartland Lutheran

Individual:
Jen Yoder – 49

Paige Mestl – 51

Sam Boardman – 61

Kim Stort – 67

Kaitlyn Quiring – 67

Team Total: 228

As a whole we were much better as a team today on a little bit tougher course.  Indian Head is much longer than Superior, but we were able to shoot a much better team score on Tuesday.  We were 17 strokes better as a team on Tuesday.  Jen Yoder shot a very solid 49 on the day.  She had one bad hole, but other than that she played a very solid round.

Paige had a good day as well with a 51.  She is working hard to fix some little things in here swing and in her game, she is on pace to have a good year.

Sam Boardman shot a 61, which was two strokes better then the day before, but she played much better as a whole.  I think she has it in her to shoot some pretty nice scores as we move forward.

Kaitlyn Quiring and Kim Stort both shot 67 on the day.  I feel both are capable enough as golfers to continue to lower that score as the year moves forward.
