Henderson Mennonite Brethren Church kicks off “Wednesday Night Live” on September 7 in the Family Center. Each Wednesday evening begins with supper at 6:00 pm at the Praise Café. The first week will be a pizza extravaganza! Meals are $2 per person or $6 per family.

After supper there are activities for all ages:

Primetime – For kids age 3 through 6th grade, beginning at 6:45 pm.

  • K-6th graders will start the year being “Agents in Action” who learn to live every day as special agents for God, following the examples of the Bible. Later in the year, they will go on a “Journey with Jesus” to discover what happened in various towns Jesus traveled to and ministered in.
  • Kids age 3-5 will also have class. There is nursery care available for those younger than 3.

CHAOS (Christians Having A Lot Of Spirit) – For Junior High youth / grades 7 and 8.

  • Pastor J and Lisa Epp lead this fast-paced time of studying God’s Word and learning to apply it to daily lives. It regularly begins at 7:00 pm in the basement classroom. The first week it will be at Pastor J and Lisa’s house (1240 10th Street) beginning at 6:00 pm with a pizza party.

Reach – For high school youth / grades 9-12.

  • Craig & Christine Quiring and Bret & Laura Jost lead the youth group. It begins at 7:00 pm in the large basement area. There will be a kickoff party at Craig & Christine’s house (1613 Road D, Bradshaw) starting at 7:00 pm the first week. There will be a campfire, games and an outdoor movie shown from 8-10pm. Youth are invited to eat at the church pizza supper, but there will also be concession stand-type snacks available at the kickoff party.

Adult Bible Studies – There will be two studies available.

  • Plant a little seed – grow a big faith.  Join us for “Seed” by Priscilla Shirer. This women’s DVD Bible study led by Nicole Quiring shows how God’s voice can be heard through His Word in an intimate, practical and tangible way.  Study guides are available.  Call the church office (402-723-5845) to reserve a book.  This study will begin at 6:45 pm each Wednesday evening.
  • “The Miracles of Jesus”, a Deeper Connections DVD study, is written and taught by Biblical experts.  Each session is introduced on location in Israel.  The study follows a three-part pattern: a close look at the original meaning of the biblical text, attention to the historical and cultural background, and an encouraging and challenging application of the text’s meaning for today. The study is facilitated by Steve Ryan and is suitable for all ages. It will begin at 7:00 pm.

Activities conclude at 8:00 pm for everyone.
