The Henderson Relay for Life Team has been busy canvassing the area to help raise money for The American Cancer Society. The response of the community has been generous as typical in the past several years.
There is still an opportunity to make a donation for those that may not have been reached already. Â This week, donations may be left with Melissa Goertzen at Mainstay Communications on Main Street through Friday. Â On Saturday, last minute contributions can be made at the garage sale at the southern most point on South Main (the former Western PV Building).
Donations of any amount are welcome.  Luminaries to honor  a loved one who has lost their battle with cancer or in honor of  a survivor may be purchased for a $10 donation.  Markers will be available so that donors may decorate their own luminaries if they would like to.
The Relay Event will take place Saturday, June 11 at the York County Fairgrounds beginning at 7 p.m. with a ‘survivor’s walk’.  Luminaries will line the walkway around the fairgrounds, a memorial slideshow will be presented at dusk.  All are welcome to attend.
