Six Heartland Track Girls were invited to participate in the Central Nebraska Track Invite based on their performances so far this year on Tuesday April 26, 2011.

This annual meet which was held for the first time at the Grand Island Northwest High School track brings all of the top competition in both Boys and Girls Track from all classes around the area.  The Heartland Girls all competed well in their events but really shined by taking home the Gold Medal in the 4 x 100 Relay which also broke the school record with a time of 51.1.

Overall, this meet was a great experience and the coaches enjoyed it as they were able to see how their athletes performed under a big stage mid-season.  Congratulations to all of the Girls (Jennifer Yoder, Sara Brune, Ashton Kroeker, Bailey Carr, Miranda Janzen, and Miranda Driewer) that participated in yesterday’s meet in Grand Island.
