Upcoming Event: Dr. Lauren Friesen Keynote Speaker for Heritage Celebration

Mark your calendars for Sunday, January 16th when Henderson Heritage & Tourism will be hosting a wrap-up celebration of their fund-raising campaign. Dr. Lauren Friesen will be the keynote speaker who is a graduate of Henderson High School and professor of theatre at the University of Michigan-Flint and Chair of the Department of Theatre and Dance. Dr. Friesen has done considerable research of the historical background of the branch of Mennonites that settled here in Henderson. Friesen is an accomplished writer with over 30 publications of books, essays and poetry. This event is open to the public and Dr. Friesen will be speaking at the Henderson Community School theater Sunday afternoon at 4 PM. Following will be a Faspa hosted by Henderson Heritage & Tourism in the school cafeteria with a free will donation at the door.
