Announcing: Huskie Sports Network!

A very exciting opportunity is upon the HeartlandBeat.com readers and beyond.  HeartlandBeat.com has partnered with Heartland Community Schools for the 2011-2012 school year to bring you the most cutting edge in Heartland’s sports and academic broadcasting.

After discussing and working with the school, the Huskie Sports Network (HSN) was created.  HSN will be HeartlandBeat.com’s tool to live stream athletic events for the entire sports season.  This service will be able to be accessed completely free of charge through the website and is available to anyone with internet access. HeartlandBeat.com will use a service called Ustream.tv to broadcast all home games on our site.  This way, if a parent can not make the game, grandparents or other relatives live out of town/state, alumni want to catch up on what is going on at their alma mater or any other circumstance you can think of, the game is at their fingertips with HSN on HeartlandBeat.com! Do not be worried about away games.  Those will also be covered on HSN by providing live blogging updates.  So, readers will not miss out on the action even when the game is not at home.

HSN will also be bringing a new feature called ‘Coaches Corner’ to its readers.  You will be able to view interviews from your Huskie coaches each week on their insight on the team and the season throughout the year.

And, just like last year, articles, photos, stats and results will all still be available for every athletic event all year long.

Lastly, although HSN will be very versed in the sports season, readers will also be able to view what is going on in the classroom and from the band and choir.  Live streaming and video posts of concerts, classroom spotlights and productions will also be available.
