SENIOR CREIGHTON FRIESEN QUALIFIES FOR STATE!
Heartland Senior Creighton Friesen placed 9th, which qualifies him to compete in next week’s 2025 Class C State Golf Tournament. It will be held next Wednesday & Thursday, May 28-29, at Jack Rabbit Run Golf Course in Grand Island.
The Heartland Huskie boys’ golf team competed at the Class C-4 boys’ golf district meet at Indianhead Golf Course in Grand Island on Tuesday, May 20th. The day was cold and blustery, with strong winds making for challenging conditions for all the golfers. Senior Creighton Friesen is no stranger to this course since he has competed there for Districts the past four years. He placed 9th, shooting an 81, punching his ticket to State for the fourth time in his high school career.
The Heartland team held its own, placing 7th overall out of 14 teams at Districts. Seniors Zach Miller (89) and Blake Goertzen (96) had the next-best finishes for the team.
