Firearms, Methamphetamine, and Fentanyl Found in Traffic Stop Near Henderson I-80 Exit by York County Sheriff’s Department

YORK COUNTY – On Sept. 28, at 11:41 p.m., a sergeant assigned to the York County Sheriff’s Office K9 Unit conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Interstate 80 near the Henderson exit for multiple traffic violations. During the course of the stop, the sergeant developed probable cause to search the vehicle. During that search, they uncovered two firearms, three ounces of methamphetamine, a small amount of fentanyl and Adderall. 

​The sheriff’s department also said there were a number of items in the vehicle which appeared to have been stolen. A follow-up investigation revealed some of the items in the vehicle were shoplifted from a business in the West Des Moines, Iowa area.

The case is currently under investigation.

The sheriff’s department says two suspects were arrested in this case and are being held at the York County Jail. They have been identified as Tyler Dolph, 42, of State Road, North Carolina, and Torrence Patton, 34, of Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Dolph was arrested on the following charges: possession of more than 28 grams of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, having no drug tax stamp, possession of a controlled substance, theft by receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon, open container and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Patton was arrested on the following charges: possession of more than 28 grams of methamphetamine, possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony, having no drug tax stamp, possession of a controlled substance, theft by receiving stolen property, carrying a concealed weapon, open container and possession of drug paraphernalia.
