The Heartland Community Schools Band Parents Association Announces its 60th Annual German Smorgasboard on Saturday, March 19, 2016.
The event will feature a wide variety of ethnic German foods. Food will be served from 5:00-7:30 p.m. in the Heartland School Cafeteria. A band concert will follow at 7:45 p.m.
Tickets must be purchased in advanced. The price is $12 for adults and $7 for children ages 4-12.
Tickets may be purchased from any band member or you can reserve your tickets by calling the Heartland Community School Office at 402-723-4434.
All proceeds are used to support the Heartland Community School’s band program (band uniforms, instruments, etc.).

VERENIKE – cottage cheese bundles (fried or cooked) with ham gravy
WORSCHT – sausage
KLUPTZ – ground meat patties
KIELKE – noodles with cream gravy and onions
SHAUBLA – beans with cream gravy
KOHL SALAT – cole slaw
KORN – corn
KUMPST BORSCHT – cabbage soup
PLUMA MOS – raisin and prune soup
GESCHMUCKE – relish tray with pickles, celery, carrots and apple rings
TWIEBACK AND JELLE – bread and jelly
PARTZILKE – New Year’s Cookies (glazed or rolled in sugar)
PRIESHKE – apple pastry
PLAUTZ – cherry or peach pastry
SCHNETYA – lady fingers
CUFFA – coffee
MILCH – milk
