Henderson Health Care CEO, Cheryl Brown, has been appointed to serve on several committees for the Nebraska Health Care Association (NHCA) for the 2014-2015 term.
Brown was named CEO of Henderson Health Care in March of 2009.
The committees include the Nebraska Nursing Facility Association (NNFA) Bylaws Committee, the Nebraska Assisted Living Association (NALA) Bylaws Committee, the NNFA/National Assisted Living Association Care Political Action (PAC) Committee, The National Assisted Living Association (NALA) Standards Committee, and the NNFA Standards Committee.
The Bylaws Committee is responsible for reviewing bylaws, drafting proposed changes and presenting them to the Board. They must also present proposed changes to the membership for approval.
The NNFA/NALA Standards Committee is responsible for providing input concerning regulatory issues, assisting in educating members on the impact of regulatory changes and recommending official positions on specific issues.
Duties of the PAC Committee include educating members about political activities, assisting with raising and allocating funds for political action support, and advising member on the impact of specific political activities in the industry.
