The Heartland FFA Chapter recently held its annual banquet on Thursday, April 26, to honor members for their achievements throughout the year and to thank supporters. The evening began with opening ceremonies and a welcome to guests. Mr. Larry Siebert then gave a speech about the past, present and future of the Heartland FFA. After the meal break, a slideshow of this year’s activities was shown. Mr. Blomendahl, chapter advisor, then presented chapter degrees and awards from this year’s contests and chapter activities.
The chapter also honored businesses and individuals for supporting them throughout the year. They were: Grant and Jamie Schimidt and Ken Kniep for presenting the chapter with the Grow Communities Award. Tri-County Automotive, Virg’s Plumbing and Digging, Henderson Irrigation, A & L Sales and Services, Headquarters Tanning and Saloon, Jim and Gina Mestl, Cornerstone Bank and Tim and Roberta Bergen for all contributing to the I Believe in the Future of Ag Campaign.

The chapter also awarded fourteen honorary chapter degrees. This award goes to the parents of a graduating senior FFA member.
