The Huskie Volleyball team did not hold anything back Thursday night as they defeated the Sutton Fillies in three sets.
The first set started a little slow for the Huskies as they were not quite on top of their game. Â It went back and forth for most of the set before the Huskies pulled it together and came from behind and beat the Fillies 25-22.
From there, the Huskies found their rhythym. Â With some dominating hits from Juniors, MaKaelyn Dick and Senior Miranda Janzen as well as solid play by Juniors Ashton Kroeker, and Sara Brune, the Huskies started to pull away. Â The Huskies got the Fillies on the ropes and they just could not recover from it. Â Brielle van den Berg and Sandra Buller played very well defensively and setters Maelyn Huebert and Ashley Bittinger were getting the ball to where their hitters needed it. Â The Huskies took the next two sets to win the match, 25-11 and 25-14.
It was an exciting Homecoming game for the Huskies to go along with the celebration of festivities this week. Â They will be back in action at Nebraska Christian on Tuesday at 5:30/6:30 and Varsity at 7:30pm.
