The Heartland Boys Basketball Team faced Fullerton in the D1-4 District Final at Aurora on Tuesday evening. Both teams came ready to compete for their ticket to the Boys State Basketball Tournament. An exciting game kept the crowd on the edge of their seats, but Fullerton managed to break away from the Huskies in the last quarter with the lead.

Although they finished as runner-up in the district final, the Huskies had earned enough points throughout the season to be given a wildcard spot into the state tournament next week. Their current season record is 20-3. They will play Osmond at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 8, at Lincoln Northeast.
