The 66th Annual York-Hamilton County Cattlemen’s Banquet was held at Stone Creek Convention Center in McCool on Tuesday, January 7. Over 400 people gathered for a meal, to celebrate honored guests, and to be entertained by humorist Doc Blakely of Texas.

Among those honored was Henderson resident Lynn Gloystein. Gloystein was recognized at the banquet for his 35 years of service to the agriculture industry through teaching at Henderson/Heartland Community School.

Gloystein commented to the audience that the “years went by fast,” and that “it is fun to see many of his former students now involved in agriculture.”

Also honored that evening was Robert Vrbka, Marlin Seeman, and the late Irving Wederking. The four honored guests had a combined 145 years of teaching in the agriculture subject.
