During the 125th Celebration of Henderson, the goal is to Honor the Past, Celebrate the Present, and Explore the Future.  Each month there has been an opportunity to honor the past as Ethnic Food Demonstrations were held.  This month the final food class will be held as students learn how to make Peppernuts from Marjorie Smith and New Year’s Cookies from Carol Janzen at the Bethesda Church Kitchen at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17.

These hands-on demonstrations cost $15 per person.  Included in this cost is all the ingredients used for the class, the hands-on instruction, taste testing during the class, and any additional food made during this class will be taken home by those attending.  Each participant will also receive the recipe for each class they attend, so they can make the recipes at home.

Tickets may be purchased ahead of time at the Henderson Chamber Office or the day of the demonstration.  Class size is limited to 20 people.  For more information or to order your tickets, contact the Henderson Chamber at (402) 723-4228 or email hchamber@mainstaycomm.net. Tickets can also be purchased online at www.HendersonNE.com in the Q125 store.
