If you visited Custom Wood Products on the Q125 Shop Tour you would have seen the latest Henderson Heritage project for the newly built Country Mennonite Church–Pews. Mike Wall demonstrated on one of Custom Wood Products computer driven cutting machine just how he will be building these replica pews. The finished pew is made out of pinewood and will measure 8 feet long.

As a fundraising project the pews may be purchased for $500 each. A limited quantity of 10 pews will be built to be placed in the church at the Henderson Mennonite Heritage Park. Each purchased pew will have a family name placed on the pew just like in the old days when families often built their own pews that were placed in the church.

Several pews have already been purchased, so contact LaVonne Thiessen at 402-723-4559 if you are interested in reserving your family pew. All contributions to Henderson Heritage & Tourism are tax deductible.
