The Huskies came out competing in the first half against Milford in the second round of the Southern Nebraska Conference Tournament Thursday night. A big third quarter for the Eagles, however, put them ahead enough to seal the deal as the Huskies lose to the Eagles 32-49.

Milford executed their game plan of keeping Heartland’s Mikaelyn Dick from getting hot around the perimeter. This caused some difficulties for the Huskies to find open shots elsewhere with the Eagle defense. The Huskies were led in scoring by Allison Braun with nine points.

The Huskies move to 11-8 on the season and will face Fillmore Central in the consolation game of the SNC Tournament at 6pm Monday night. The game was moved from Saturday due to the weather. This will make quite the week for the Huskies as they finish up the conference tournament and then have games on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Remember all of the SNC games on Monday will be covered LIVE on southernnebraskaconference.com. You can also follow all of the Huskie games live streamed or live blogged on the Huskie Sports Network on HeartlandBeat.com.
