Celebrate the Spirit of Christmas on Thursday, December 1, from 5-8 p.m. onÂ Main StreetÂ and aroundÂ HendersonÂ as various businesses roll out the red carpet for holiday shopping and open houses.Â Santa and Mrs. Clause will also be making an appearance that evening at City Hall from 5 – 7 p.m.
During the evening there will be many local retailers selling products that will be perfect for your holiday gift giving.Â Not only will you be able to find gifts for the youngest and oldest people on your list, but you will also be saving money by not driving out of town to do your Christmas shopping.Â Businesses that have signed up so far, that will be open include: Premier Designs, KVK Jewelry, Petal Pusher, Friesen Gallery, Headquarters, Henderson Food Mart, Henderson Pharmacy,Â Dutch Kitchen,Â Tupperware, Mary Kay, Balabans, Florals by Deb, Chenilly, Bethesda Preschool Cookbooks, Little Piggies, Button Boutique, Shannonâ€™s Custom Embroidery and Dart Inc.
In addition to the retail vendors and Santa, various businesses will be hosting Open Houses throughout the community during the Spirit of Christmas Evening to show gratitude for your business over the past year.Â Businesses hosting open houses inlcude: Cornerstone Bank, Mainstay Communications, Henderson State Bank, Kroeker & Kroeker Insurance and Real Estate, Prairie Oasis, Henderson Heating and Air, Whitney/Newman/Mersch/Otto, Bergen Friesen Agency, Henderson Health Care Services, Hiebner Body Shop, A&L Sales and Service.
With so many events taking place the same evening, it will be hard to know where to go when.Â That is why the Henderson Chamber of Commerce will be providing maps with vendors, gift ideas, drawing details and locations.Â Maps will be available November 22 at City Hall and atÂ www.cityofhenderson.org.
