Heartland 4th Grade girls did more than just swim and play ball this summer.  They were also busy ‘hitting the books’. That’s right, even in the summertime, these girls enjoyed some quality reading.

Seven of the girls from the 4th grade class read “Princess and the Kiss,” a Christian book by Jennie Bishop based on the principles of God’s gift of Purity.

The girls enjoyed reading the book and learning some beautiful lessons along the way.  They even got to celebrate on August 9th with a party where they were all crowned “Keepers of the Kiss”.  The girls learned a biblical lesson from the book that “love..comes from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith” (1 Timothy 1:5).
