Bridge Building and More at Galaway Creek
About a dozen volunteers converged at Galaway Creek this past Saturday morning for a full day of work at the golf course. After 25 years of use the bridges at Galaway Creek were more than ready to be replaced. About a month ago volunteers completed refurbishing the bridges on holes #3 and #4. Saturday the remaining three bridges on holes #6, #7 and #8 were dismantled and rebuilt by volunteers who worked steadily all

day so play would not be disrupted on the course.
Other work completed that day was some much needed trimming of trees, grass and replacement of screening on hole #1. This kind of volunteer support is the backbone of Henderson and their “sweat equity” was in action making much needed improvements to one of the communityʼs finest amenities. Thanks to such dedicated volunteers for helping get Galaway Creek in tip-top shape for the Menʼs Open to be held Sunday, June 26th.
